Leandra Fourie, a local fashion designer, made my dream a reality by designing and bringing my dress to life.

Wat was die inspirasie agter jou matriekafskeidrok?

I have dreamt about my Matric Dance since I was a small girl. I always wanted to feel and look like a princess on this day. I went to Leandra with an idea and she brought this image to life. This asymmetrical design aimed to elongate my short stature. The tiered skirt and corset bodice further enhanced my features. The lacework was a masterclass in sophistication and elegance. I have always loved the colour green as it accentuates my eyes. I wanted to sparkle and the glitter tulle made sure I shone. This gorgeous dress certainly made me feel like a princess!

Wat beteken jou matriekafskeidrok vir jou?

In life, we don't often get to dress up and feel so gorgeous. This dress definitely made me feel so special and beautiful. I wanted to be proud and stand tall with confidence as well as shining inside and out. This dress represents everything that i love about myself. My dress meant the absolute world to me and I will always remember that evening feeling like a princess!

Hoogtepunt van die matriekafskeid

Being able to spend such a milestone of an evening with my friends, feeling like the best versions of ourselves, was the highlight of our school journey. This event marks the end of an incredible school career and long lasting memories were made. I had the most fun op die dansvloer!

I plan to study Data Engineering at the University of Stellenbosch. I am looking forward to this challenge and expanding my love for technology.
