My dress was Turkey inspired. My inspiration was timeless elegance. I wanted something classic yet modern, that makes me feel confident and sophisticated. I was inspired by red carpet looks and couture fashion, something that shines but still looks graceful.

My matric dance dress means more than just fashion. It represents a milestone, confidence, and the person I’ve grown into. It’s a symbol of the journey I’ve been on through high school, all the memories, challenges, and the excitement of what’s next. My dress reminds me that this night isn’t just an ending, but a beautiful beginning.

Hoogtepunt van die matriekafskeid

My cousins from Durban flew down to celebrate my day with me. Loads of pictures were taken, that I wasn't used to. And many people, friends and family that have seen me grow up came to wish me well. And overall unforgettable evening with my friends.

Step one: Recover from exams. Planning to major in sleeping and minor in doing absolutely nothing. Step two: Take over the world. Future millionaire in training, currently accepting sponsorships. Although my Plan A is to become successful. And Plan B is to pretend Plan A worked. On a more serious note, my plans are to study my desired field at university. And to hopefully travel and experience life away from home.
