The butterfly is a symbol of hope, change, and freedom. To me, it is a fitting representation of the transformation out of high school and into the world as a young adult, as well as my journey as a person in trying to grow and find myself even in the face of hardship.

Wat beteken jou matriekafskeidrok vir jou?

Ever since I first tried it on, it felt like the dress was an extension of myself, that it was right to wear. I love everything about it, from the style to the colour, to the flow of it, to the way it makes me feel in it: Confident, happy, free. Even after the dance, this dress will carry the memories I made on the special day.

Hoogtepunt van die matriekafskeid

Being around the people who made my time at high school special was my highlight of the matric farewell. Making memories with them while we celebrated the last year of high school together is something that can never be replaced. Of course, the food there was a highlight of its own as well

Planne vir na matriek

After matric I would like to study psychology as I have always had an interest in understanding how we as humans work, and would like to help others overcome their troubles. I would also love to travel to many places to experience how beautiful the world is in person.
