I had the privilege of wearing a Shené Vyver Couture dress. Blue has always been my favorite color and I have always known that my matric farewell dress would be a shade of blue, to match my eyes. Shené always creates the most beautiful dresses so I knew I was in good hands, togeter we designed my dream dress. Made of the finest navy blue satin, a back lace corset, trimmed with various class crystal beads, sequins and embellishments. An off the shoulder decolette neckline, draped around the lower waist with a slit on the left leg and a train. Perfection!!!

Wat was jou inspirasie vir jou matriekafskeidrok?

My inspiration was my mom's tanzinite and diamonds engagement/wedding ring set. As a little girl I always dreamed about having a dress that could compliment the rings. I I had about ten different dress ideas that I combined into my perfect fairy tale dress. I wanted something that would enhance my natural dark hair, blue eyes and pale skin... something like a "Snow white fairytale dress". With Shené's expertise and guidance we could put everything together and make my dream dress a reality.

Wat was jou gunsteling deel van jou matriekafskeidrok?

The neckline because I could show off my dancer clavicles.... the dance ladies would know, and, of course the train, because it made me feel like a princess. I had a little loop in the train that I could hook onto my finger that made the dancing of the night, effortless.
