This gorgeously designed dress is covered from head to toe in Swarovski Crystals. I chose the colour black as it is not just my favourite colour, but it also gives off an elegant and timeless look. This dress is special to me as it is one of a kind, specifically designed to fit my body. Wat was jou inspirasie vir jou matriekafskeidrok?
When I was younger, I always imagined that I would be wearing a ball gown-style dress to my Matric Ball, as those are always the types of dresses we see on princesses. As time went on, my style and taste really changed over the years, and I developed a liking for the corset-styled bodycon dresses and eventually found a style that would 100% fit my body type. Even though I did not go with the ball gown, I chose the corset style that I absolutely loved and definitely felt like a princess in.

My favourite part about my dress is that it is 7.2kg of Swarovski Crystals. The Crystals added a beautiful shimmer to the dress when the camera flashes were flashing directly onto the dress. This dress was a surprise to my entire family and was truly so surreal to see my vision that I had for my dress come to life.
