My dress was designed by designer, Johan Wolmarans. His reputation as designer is well known in our community. I went to him with 20 different ideas and pictures of what l liked but nothing that really piqued my interest. I was very picky and indecisive with what l wanted so he took many different elements and put them all into one to give me my dream dress. I love the corset style and synched waist and a wow factor. And he delivered, l got all that and so much more. I wanted to be sultry while still looking elegant.

Wat was jou inspirasie vir jou matriekafskeidrok?
I was inspired by old school Hollywood glamour. I wanted an elegant look, classy but yet also sexy and sultry wothout too much body showing. That was very important to me. He gave me the wow factor with the long train that detaches so that l have the option to wear my dress again, and it lifted the my dress to an extremely wow and fabulous looking gown.

I loved it all, the fit, the cinched waist, the detailing my designer incorporated. The way it made me feel, so glamorous and made me feel like a beautiful princess. My favourite part of my dress was the combination of different elements. It was elegant and classy as well as sultry. The contrast of the lace and sleek fabric made the dress look sophisticated.
